Walk to Chalbury

Been a fairly good food day, yesterday I had a blip when my sweet tooth had a craving and I ended up stuffing my face with Cadburys Roses. I have decided to plan a few healthy/low calorie desserts to help with my sweet craving, things like fruit jelly and single cream.

This evening me and my friend went out for a brisk walk, it was nice to get my bum of the sofa and get some exercise that doesn't involve a DVD!! We plan to do it at least once a week.

Measured the widest part of my belly and it is 35in of wobble, I will measure again in a month to see if there is any improvement

OMG!! I Ache!!

Last night I did level 1 of the 30 Day Shred, I didn't buy it to lose weight but the circuit training is excellent for shaping up. I managed to burn 122 calories in 20 minutes but today I ache in muscles I never even knew I had. Weirdly the pain is quite nice because it means my body is actually taking notice of the exercising I have been doing.

Today I received the sponsorship forms for the 10k Midnight Walk, so I need to start collecting!!

I have really lost my mojo for the housework, I think I need a holiday. Next week I have planned a spring clean to try and find it again.
Also I need to get my thinking cap on and plan some family fun for the Easter holidays.
My mum and nan are coming to visit today, they are bringing cream cakes, I think I have really deserve one this week. Last night I had a jaffa cake and it was delicious, it's funny how limiting sweets for a while can actually make them taste better when you do have some. In the past I could full moon, half moon, total eclipse a pack of Jaffas in a matter of minutes, but last night I savoured every moment. (you only get the moon bit if you remember the advert!!)
Look at my beautiful baby boy in a box!!

Procrastination

As the title of todays post suggests, I am in a can't be bothered mood today. I am OK food wise and plan to get the gym out later, but the housework can wait. I will regret that tomorrow when I have twice as much to do, never mind, there is more to life, right??

Sunny girl and me went the the last FAB (Food, Activity, Behaviour) group today, we made scones and Sunny girl is so proud of them she has shown every relative this side of town!!

It's true what they say about protein being very filling. I have just had gammon and chicken for tea and I am so full I can barely move.

I received my boxercise DVD in the post today, it was only £5 and actually its quite good. I haven't actually done it yet, but I have had a quick look.

Thank crunchy its friday tomorrow!!

I've Been a Good Girl!!!

The time went speeding past again today and before I new it it was past lunch time and I was Ravenous, I was tempted by Mr Sunny's Gingsters cheese and onion pasty, but I manged to talk myself out of it. I just drank a glass of water whilst preparing a toasted wholemeal pitta with lean ham, cheese, cherry tom and red onion.

Also my HRM arrived and I signed up for a 10k midnight walk for Weldmar.

I was planning a workout on Mr Sunnys Total Gym 1000 but I am shattered, the baby is cutting his back teeth and was unsettled last night, so I got only a little sleep. I will be back with avengence tomorrow after a very early night.

I have finally posted my start pictures. I think I will have look at them regularly to keep me on the straight and narrow!!

Where did the time go??

I really don't know where the time went yesterday, in the end it was a choice between exercise and a shower or updating the blog. I opted for the first choice because I am on a mission to get fit and I didn't want to smell this morning!!

I enjoyed my workout, I did 30 mins of the clubland DVD and the toning section, which I think is quite good, it includes loads of planks and core stability work.

This morning I have a delicious bowl of porridge topped with blueberries and flaked almonds. Since I began this 'Quest' I have gone from not being a breakfast person, partly because I thought I didn't have enough time, to actually looking forward to my breakfast, it's worth getting up a little earlier for.

For lunch I made a low GI omelette, it had bacon, peppers, parmesan and basil in it. It was scrummy and very filling. It was so filling I really didn't think I would be able to manage my dinner.

Dinner was a prawn, mushroom and beansprout stir-fry. It was the first time I made this and I will definately be making it again.

For snacks I have had a banana, 2 blueberry muffins(homemade low cal)and a Blue Riband (treat). I will add the muffin recipe soon.

On sunday I mentioned that I am struggling to eat all my calories in a healthy way, well I posted on WLR website and it was suggested I ditch low fat and add more calorie dence foods to my diet. After a little thought I have planned a way to add 161 calories to my porridge just by making it with all skimmed milk and adding a few extra flaked almonds. After I have finished my low fat pot of greek yogurt I will buy the full fat one. Using up calories may not be as difficult as I thought, although I will be saving a few for the weekend!!

I did my exercise earlier so tonight I will be watching Superfat Vs Superskinny at 8pm.

Must dash and get the kids to bed in time for the programme.

Sunday 21 March 2010

Well our stroll was cut a little short because my nearly 4 year old daughter, whilst playing dodge the waves, fell into the water. We all enjoyed ourselves anyway.

After I gave my daughter a warm bath we enjoyed and a lovely roast chicken dinner.

To maintain my weight of 10st 4.5lb I can have 2059 calories a day(not including excercise calories), I am finding it difficult to eat all of those calories in a healthy way, I know a little treat will do no harm but I just don't fancy anything. I am going to have to get my thinking cap on because I have 640 calories spare, not including the 300 spare from yesterday.

Daily Cal Quota: 2059
+ Exercise Cals: 0
Total Cal Quota: 2062
Calories Consumed: 1422
Calories Left: 640

Exercise; None today

Sunny Sunday in Dorset

Woke upto glorious sunhine, although a little nippy. Enjoyed a lovely bowl of mocha porridge, the recipe to which I found on a great blog I have been following. I've just done some tidying up and when I've put the chicken in the oven we are all going for a stroll along Bowleaze beach.

My First Blog Entry!!

Well its been an eventful couple of days. Yesterday Mr Sunny injured his head and ended up at the hospital for over four hours. Also today when I popped to the shop a drunken women tried to start a fight with me, my little girl looked so worried.

My 2 older boys went bowling and then back to one of their friends houses, they've had a good time.

Today I have also made some tasty blueberry muffins, I have eaten one and frozen the rest so I couldn't eat them all in one go, I am getting good at this healthy lifestyle thing!! When I fancy one I will just have to defrost it in the microwave and then in the oven for a few minutes and it will be ready to enjoy.

I think I am going to enjoy my blogging, also I plan to use this as an motivational tool for my shape up effort. I will go into more detail about my lifestyle change tomorrow when I will have more time.
